Boat Trip

We took a quick look behind us as we left the Southport Marina.

This was the beginning our our nine-day odyssey.  It was so great being on the boat and heading south.  The scenery was beautiful, from the ospreys in their nests and other wildlife to the beautiful homes along the waterway.  The weather was sunny every day, and the temperatures were in the 80's and 90's, but with our biminy to block the sun, it didn't make any difference to us.

Look for the small white boat with blue biminy just under the bow of the really big boat.

ISLE OF HOPE MARINA

The Isle of Hope marina was a quiet little place off the beaten path with friendly people.  We took a bus into Savannah, and the bus driver explained that many people call the marina "Idaho" instead of Isle of Hope - just by how it sounds to them, and everyone knows what they mean.
